The most difficult thing to do in makeup is the eyebrow. "Teach me how to do eyebrows" or "How do you do your eyebrows?" I received this request a lot of times! I did a few tutorial before but let me updated you with a new one using all products from "THE CURIOUS CASE OF THE BROW DILEMMAS" BENEFIT COSMETICS INDONESIA
What is this "box" from Benefit Cosmetics Indonesia? Have they released a book? I thought they are a cosmetic brand? It is an unique book. Oh yes it is a book, a fun and interactive one where this book is all about brows. You all know how i feel with brows right? THEY ARE IMPORTANT! GET THEM RIGHT AT ALL TIME! *phew*
This book is all about brows dilemmas, from how to get a thin and sparse brow into a fuller looking ones, how to get the best shape of an eyebrow and what are the main products for eyebrow grooming and shaping. All are peeled and exposed in this interactive book! You can see the pop-art that said "Laughter is the best cosmetics" and "Wax, tint, tweeze and please" Benefit Cosmetics concept are fun. cheerful and vintage chic. I love their concept!
Eyebrows, personally, is one of the most important factor that frames you complexion and face. It helps with the sculpting of the face, other than contouring and highlighting of course. I received quite a lof of compliment on my brows if i may say and i am going to exposed my secret on how to get them!
After the explanation about the book, I strongly agree that waxing (or any kind of shaping and trimming) is important. I know it is still a taboo to do anything with your eyebrows unless you are married, but i dont believe that. I have a naturally high arch brows which makes me look angry at all time but i swear i am not. Usually, i am always in my own dream world haha and yes there are times when i have clients who doesnt want to get their eyebrows trimmed.
First, as much as how neat my brow drawing are on a "virgin" brow, it wont be as neat as the brows that have been trimmed and shaped. Second, it is kinda hard for me to pin point the shape of the brows due to the hair, although i always successfully did them but to draw the shape and to see it is pretty hard if you have a dark hair of the brows. So these two are my "challenges" when it comes to a virgin eyebrows.
Now, the process of doing my eyebrows are still the same but this time i am going to use the main products from Benefit Cosmetics Indonesia on my eyebrow routine and you all can get all of these products at one go for your brows.
There will only be three products you need and they are:
1. Brow Zings (or Instant brow is alright too but i recommend brow zings)
2. High Brow
3. Gimme Brow
Now what are these?
1. Brow Zing is a 2 in 1 kit of eyebrow wax and powder. I personally would go for this one but if you are a beginner and still shaky in doing your eyebrows, get the Instant Brow which is a pencil that is smudge- proof and water- proof. Using the wax and powder will give a stronger shape of eyebrows and I personally find it easier to draw and to fill in my eyebrows with the wax one. You can choose between to use the wax only or the powder. The result of powder brow is different from the wax one. Powder has a more natural and soft result where as the wax has the opposite one.
2. High Brow is more to a high lighting plus concealer. I think aside from the eyebrow, you an use this product to high light because of its white and pink undertone to brightens the skin area. This product is placed on the brow bone beneath the highest arch of your brow, apply it and blend it well.
3. Gimme Brow is a brow mascara. I personally barely use this due to my eyebrow that are sparse but if you have a thicker eyebrow and dont want to do all of these steps, get the brow-cara and apply it by brushing it onto the hair of your brows. This will enhance the color of the brows therefore it will make your brows look fuller.
