Truth be told, I didnt like the previous Make Up For Ever (MUFE) HD Liquid Foundation. It didnt stay on my skin that long. However, i did tried this when it was launched at Sephora Kelapa Gading, I realized it is very lightweight and full coverage hence, i was so intrigued to see how this works on my skin.

MUFE has developed the previous range a step higher in order to meet the needs for everyone. This new developed liquid foundation with 4K Ultra HD Foundation referred to a 4k camera that has a very high pixel compare to the rest. A higher pixel will give a better detail of depth and a clear image. Basically with this new foundation, it will give the higher and clearer image on the skin that is good for photography or any events.

In terms of packaging, it is the same with the previous one. The volume is 30ml, plastic-y material with pump to release the product and the lid to cover the pump. I got mine in the shade of Y315 which has a yellow based color. I dont look good in a pink or red under tone because it makes my skin dark and dull.

There are a lot of color selection for this range! You will find a color that matched to your skin tone! One of my friend even find a few colors fit to her skin color *poke OCHELL* Since i am not familiar with the previous coding and numbering, i asked the MUFE representative to explain the number because that got me confused when i want to tell them my own pick.

How the colors and numbering are divided? Basically, this range are divided into four main colors: light, medium, tan and dark. In each of the color group, they have the red and yellow based (cool and warm as how i perceived it) If you are confused in differentiating the shade between yellow and red based, just look at the number. If the shade start with a Y, it means yellow based or with a R is red based. Then, the number next to the letter, if it is start with a 2, it means the lightest color, 3 means medium (mine is 3), 4 means tan and 5 means dark but i am not sure if you can get 4/5 in here.

I basically pick one color that suits most asian skin so that not only i can applied this to myself but also to my clients. My clients are mostly asian oriental so i am familiar with their skin. However, I always prepare 2 different medium shades in a yellow and red based color. So if you are looking for one color that fits (mostly) all, go pick Y315 or a number above or below it. I, yet, need to check what is the color shade number that is suitable for all skin-tone in a red based MUFE Ultra HD Foundation.

Now, how does it feels on my skin? Does it work well? Remembering the previous range didnt work well on me. I know that a lot of MUA used MUFE HD Foundation but i tried it, didnt think it work on me, failed to see the hype but how about this one?

I have an oily skin, sometimes acne prone, big pores and of course, acne scars. What i look for in a liquid foundation are: high coverage (to avoid concealer), long lasting, good oil control and doesnt crack.

When I tried the tester, I realized how lightweight this foundation is but once i applied it onto my skin, it has a medium to high coverage because I only applied it once. The texture is not runny. Blending ability was amazing! It absorbs into my skin very quickly and doesnt feel thick. You can layer this foundation without looking cakey. I used a round kabuki brush to apply this. I realized using a round kabuki brush gives a high coverage compare to the typical real foundation brush. My skin complexion from acnes, redness, huge pores turn into a flawless canvas. It blends and glides onto the skin super smoothly!

This product is water based and that is why it feels lightweight, silky, moisturizing and smooth on the skin. I tried this on me and on my friend who has a dry skin, just to give a balance review and result. On me (oily skin) it feels lightweight, not greasy, moisturizing and it last longer than I expected actually. On a dry skin, good blending ability, didnt leave any patches or sets into fine lines. This foundation give a natural glow and complexion on both types of skin.
