THE BROWGAL BY TONYA CROOKS BROW PENCIL IN 05 (TAUPE) AND HIGHLIGHTER PENCILS IN 01 REVIEW AND SWATCHES

Now when it comes to brow, you know i am very detailed. Different brow products will give different effect. Brow Pencils will give that soft and natural look. For asian women with natural black hair like mine, always go for a dark brown like The BrowGal Brow Pencil in 03 or 02 but if you prefer to have the same color as your natural hair, you can get it in 01. The BrowGal Brow Pencil comes in 6 shades: Golden Brown, Taupe, Medium Brown, Chocolate, Espresso, Soft Black and my personal favorite color is Chocolate. The one that i owned is in Taupe and this color is perfect for blondes or lighter shade of hair. I personally think this color doesnt come out as strong as I want it to be, unless if you are going for a natural and soft look, then yes, this shade is perfect.

What I think about the brow pencil, I personally think the color is too light, it doesnt show that well on my skin tone. Aside from that, I love how soft and buttery it is when i apply onto my eyebrows. I also realized that this product blend easily and build-able. In the picture down below, i did add a few layers of the brow pencil to achieve the color that I want (almost). The spoolie helps to spread the colors evenly and it helps with the blending on the inner corder of the eyebrow. The color pigmentation should be amazing but because it is in a lighter shade, when I swatch it, i didnt really see any color comes out but i am sure if this is applied to a lighter skin tone, it will appear amazingly good!

As for the highlighter, the color match well with my skin tone. Not too light and not too dark. I used it to clean the shape of the brows and to highlight on the brow bone. The texture is creamy and easy to blend. It doesnt come with a sharpener so you might have to purchase a separate sharpener for the highlighter because the size itself is bigger than the pencil. The color pigmentation is medium to high because you can build it.

From the picture below, you can see that, the brow embroidery is somehow too high up (my bad though because i didnt correct it because i was so scared!) and the combination of these two help to reshape and fill in the brows so it looks balance. Both product feels lightweight.

Overall, i am impressed with these two products. A must combination product to own and if I finish the brow pencil, i might want to purchase the Chocolate color and see how it is on my skintone. As for the highlighter pencil, it is also amazing because it works as a concealer, strobing and to sharpen and clean the brow shape and area. You can get this product now in Sephora Indonesia!
