Hello girls! lets do a review on Dolly Wink Liquid and Pencil Eyeliner in the color of black. I think a black liquid or pencil eyeliner is a must have. This is one of my holy grail products for eyes because they are Water proof, smudge proof and long lasting. They are also easy to use due to their fine tip brush (liquid eyeliner) that delivers a precise, definite and even stroke lines. While their pencil eyeliner delivers a very intense color from the very first stroke with a soft and blend-able formula that is ideal to apply on the inner and outer rims. The price for Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner is RP 255.900 and Pencil Eyeliner is RP 175.900
Owning a good water proof and smudge proof eyeliners for everyone is a must especially if you are a makeup artist. As a MUA, i want to give the best for my clients especially when it comes to bridal makeup. You know how important it is to have products are water and smudge proof! Of course the "feeling" of the product is important too.
Did you know that the creator of this brand is Tsubasa Masuwaka, a model for a famous magazine in Japan called Popteen. Her style is Gyaru or Gal in english and the idea behind this makeup trend is to look like a doll. Each of these eyeliner contains honey essence for moisturizing but if you are sensitive to certain ingredients, i do advice to check their ingredients first.
The packaging of these eyeliners are similar. To differentiate them, they use color coding. The liquid eyeliner itself has a black cap with a pink body combined together with a gold pattern. Simple, girly and cute! As you can see the tip of the liquid eyeliner is fine and it helps to creates a precise, exact thin line where you have the control to draw it. The pigmentation is high with a deep black color that is very visible on the eyes. Glides easily and dries quickly. The best thing about this, and this is the reason why I love this product so much is it is smudge proof and water proof (yes you can see the picture below on this page where i tried to smudge and leave only redness around the swatches). I also tried to use water to remove it but it wont budge. I heard it is easily removed with warm water though but i never try it.
Alright what about their pencil eyeliner? Oh my Lord! The first thing I realized is how buttery, velvety and soft the texture is! The color comes out right away the second i apply it! But lets talk about the packaging. It is similar to the liquid eyeliner ones, black cap with a pink body and gold pattern that gives a cute and girly image. As i mentioned, the texture is very soft therefore you can just use it straight away without the needs of warming it up. The color pay off is amazing hence the pigmentation is good. It is also water proof and smudge proof!
Above are the swatches at the back of my hand and of course the smudge and water proof test. The result? They passed the water and smudge proof test! And below are the picture with the liquid and pencil eyeliner, yes, i did layer it up to get a very intense black color and from there, the products are buildable easily.
So in conclusion? HOLY GRAIL! water and smudge proof! Very soft texture that doesnt hurt when I apply it. Infact, it is very easy to apply, dries quickly, soft texture, smudge proof and water proof. The price is also affordable for the quality you get. Overall i am impressed at how strong it sits on my eyes and no smudging!
