Everyone must have for sculpting your face, Absolute New York Strobing and Shading Palette to contour and highlight your face. There are 6 shades for contouring and highlighting. Now Absolute New York is available in Jakarta (Grand Indonesia).
I was invited to the opening of Absolute, a makeup store that is located in Grand Indonesia and i believe in Central Park too! A brand that is from the big apple, New York, USA! with numerous products available in the store, you wont have to worry about a thing. I got the opportunity to pick products but I decided to get the contouring palette because, it is easier and i need it for my makeup train case.
There are two shades available but i pick the darkest one because, it will work well with most of the Indonesian skintone. This palette consists of 6 shades for IDR 275.000 only! I love the black chic and sleek packaging. With a plastic and transparent material, it eases me to pick and see the shades. The diameter of each of the powder is big for a palette. It has a matte yellow-ish tone powder and this is use for brightening, unfortunately, it wont work well with fair skin people. However, everyone can use the contouring powder.
I have tried this palette as soon as I got them in my hand. I realized the pigmentation is actually medium (refer to the swatches below) but it is buildable. You can go natural or bold. It blends in easily and spread easily on the cheek. Most of the colors are warm undertone which makes it even better. I work well with warm undertone because cool undertone tend to makes the complexion "dirty". When it comes to the highlighting, it still works but due to my skin tone, it doest shows that well, instead it does look pretty subtle. If you have a medium skin tone, this palette is amazing for you! I also realized that the texture is somehow velvety but not buttery enough to create a strong bold color pigmentation on the skin.
Overall, I am impressed with this strobing and shading palette. It does its job, it can be used for every Indonesian skin tone, it has a medium yet build able pigmentation of color. It blends and spread out easily and evenly to give that natural contour result. I love the size that is efficient for my makeup train case and of course, I love buying palette because not only it is neat but it has most of the useful colors.
