Hello my sugarpops! I am sure you are familiar with what i am going to share today. Lamia x Bubah Alfian makeup brushes set. A gorgeous deep red maroon with a gold accent that make the whole brush set looks exquisite. I have been eyeing this set for a very long time and huge thank you to Clozette Indonesia for being awesome and sending me this project. You will get a good 6 main brushes and a pouch to keep them in. Each set cost at IDR 550.000.
Lamica as you may know is a middle end market brand that is mainly providing us with a good quality makeup tools. The price is very affordable with a good quality product that are distributed evenly online and offline giving a very easy and efficient ways for us customer to get them. Lamica brusher are well known for their soft brush bristle. Their brush bristles are very comfortable to use and you wont feel uncomfortable when it touches and swipes on your skin. Lamica is one of the leading Indonesian local brand and i am very proud!
As you can see that Lamica has teamed up with Bubah Alfian (my favorite MUA!) to come out with limited edition of makeup brushes set. Each of the brush and set are authentically chosen carefully by Bubah himself. Many of you probably wonder why 6 brushes only? That is because each of this brush is the main brush that Bubah used a lot. He also requested for the color combination of maroon and gold to give that elegant look. Bubah Alfian is known for his natural look (this is why I really want to learn) and he is know internationally too!
After a detailed pictures of each brushes, pouch and packaging, I think they have done a very good job! I always love a good combo of maroon and gold, somehow they give this elegant chic and prestige vibe. The product comes within a box with a gold embossed brand and name. I think it is really a good idea to put everything in a box because we know how shipping is in here right? The box is sturdy yet lightweight and it protects the products within it.
When you open the lid of the box, you will get a card signed by Bubah Alfian, the brushes (of course) and a pouch. What I love the most about the packaging is how Lamica x Bubah Alfian really put a lot of consideration in making them. Each of the brush is place on a plastic divider where each of the brush sits nicely in its own spot. The plastic divider has a strong hold on the brush therefore even if you drop it, it wont fall everywhere. Underneath the brush, comes the pouch where you can keep your brush inside this pouch but for me, I would probably use it for other stuff and keep these lovely brushes in my own brush case. And! you will get 2 brush guard to protect the brushes!
If you look closely at the brushes, the handle of the wand is in maroon with gold embossment of the brand and name. It is coated to protect the aesthetic of it and it feel smooth. With a gold accent just below the brush adds that elegant atmosphere on it.
Onto the brush itself, the brushes you will get are: Large face brush, Blush brush, Flat blending brush, Dome brush, Eyeshadow brush and Lip liner brush with synthetic and natural hair. I realized that the bristle is dense (not thick, that is different) and soft. It allows me to pick up makeup products nicely without any pressure or repetition and usually with these characteristic of soft and dense, it will make the blending process easier and I found it easy with these especially on the eye makeup. The handle of this brush is really easy to hold and to control because there are brushes that I found very hard to use but this limited edition range is so easy to use! Did you know that this set of brushes are very lightweight? Yes they are!
When it comes to natural hair, no it is not human hair but it is goat's hair, the large face brush has the natural hair on its bristle. It may not be as soft as synthetic ones but for a natural hair bristle it actually helps the makeup spread and blends evenly. I usually use this for powder (loose or compact). The blush brush also has the same natural hair for its bristle however, the size is slightly smaller but with the same density and softness, it picks up the blush (or highlight if you wish) easily giving a great color pay off once it is applied onto your cheeks!
Moving on to the eye brushes, the flat blending brush can be used to apply and pick eyeshadow onto your lids,with the natural hair, it helps to pick up the color and also to blend the color (multifunction). Dome brush also has a natural hair and usually with this type of brush, I always use to work on the outer V to give that deeper dimension of the eyes. This dome brush has a more density compare the the flat blending brush.
The eyebrow brush and the lip brush are the ones with synthetic hair. The eyebrow angled brush can be used for eyebrow and concealer to shape and clean up around the brows. The shape of this brush is slightly shorter yet dense, it helps to pick up the gel (brow or liner) and control the line to give a good clean straight line. The lip liner is probably the smallest shape i have ever used. It has a pointy top so that you can shape your lips easily.
However, there is one down side that I would love to say is please bring more tools in this limited edition (perhaps the next limited edition?) like foundation brush, eyeliner brush, flat tip brush, eyeshadow flat brush, all the brushes we need! I guess I am that type of person where I dont like to mix things and I prefer to have each brush for one function (yeah, i am odd like that) but keep the design the way it is though, I already fall in love with it.
Alrighty love, if you want a good set of brush for your daily makeup, i do suggest this set for you because each of this brush is very useful and multifunction. The aesthetic of this product is gorgeous too! Overall I am very happy ( i think i am beyond happy) that i got the chance to try them out! A very affordable set with a high quality product perfectly crafted for beginners and professionals in makeup industry, together with a soft yet dense bristles that picks up products and spread them smoothly without fall out to give a good color pay off on the skin, I think this product is a must have!
