I have been wanting to share my secret weapon for a flawless complexion. With three easy stage and three main products, you can achieve a flawless complexion for a whole day. The products are all from Benefit Cosmetics (Indonesia) and they are The porefessional (as a primer and base), Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Liquid Foundation and Hello Flawless cover up powder.
You are all familiar with my skin, it is oily and acne prone. I stopped after sometime from reviewing foundation because I cant seem to meet products that satisfy me but until today my friend! i came across Benefit Cosmetics and i decided to share my go to products for a flawless complexion.
The Porefessional
This is a base or a primer. This product is used before any makeup application, after skincare. The texture is balm-y yet creamy. It comes in a skin tone beige shade that disappear onto the skin right away so if you have a different skin tone, no worries, it dries up invisible. Although the texture is somehow creamy, once it blends into the skin, it is pretty matte and smooth. It has a nice scent. One thing though, you have to be quick in applying them and try to spread it as evenly as possible. It is an oil-free formula and helps the makeup to stay longer. It cover the pores pretty nicely, depending on how many layers you applied, i just applied one. It makes the skin look flawless and makes the application of foundation and powder as smooth as possible.
When i tried this out, i realized my skin gets oily after 5 hours which is a good thing because usually it will get oily after 3 hours. The foundation and powder are still in tact but just oily. Usually my foundation and powder will slide away leaving streaks of uneven texture but not with this one!
The packaging is cute and hygienic. It comes in a tube where you have to twist the cap to open and squeeze the product out. Just apply a tiny bit because it will go a long way.
Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Liquid Foundation
One big main reason why i purchase this is because of the oil free formula. I pick the shade "honey" because i want to use this also to my clients (i am very picky what i put on my clients, so this one has an approval from me). This foundation is very light weight therefore the coverage is light to medium.
Usually with a light-medium coverage foundation, it wont do any good on my problematic skin but this one is different.
I did applied two layers ( for photo scroll down) and it has an amazing coverage with a light weight feeling on my skin. It evens out my skin tone and add some healthy glow on it. It is not cakey and last for almost a good 5-6 hours when the skin is already oily but this foundation is still in tact, not sliding away.
What i love about this light to medium coverage is the ability and strength to hide my redness. This also contains spf 25 which is a must for me. This product has the ability to give me a flawless, natural and lightweight complexion.
The product comes in a transparent tube with a doff or matte cap. It is very hygienic because all you have to do is press the pump to release the product. Please ignore the mess on the pump, I have been using this since the first day i got my hands on them! and whats best?
It doesnt break me out!
Hello Flawless Cover Up Powder
I have been looking for that one perfect compact powder that can be used alone of after a foundation or a skincare. Finally i found it with Benefit Cosmetic. This is a powder (i believe a foundation powder or two way cake we call it here). What unique about this is, the applicator comes with a sponge and a brush. I have never met any brand or product that gives such beautiful option!
To get a high and full coverage, use the sponge and dab it onto the skin but if you want a lighter coverage, use the brush. This product has spf 15 which is not bad at all. It comes with a tiny mirror and the shape of the product is square which doesnt take too much space inside my bag.
The shade that i pick is yellow based to even out my skin tone. I realized that this product actually have a high coverage on its own. The texture is velvety and it is not that powdery. It is very easy to blend and applied onto the skin. It hides the imperfection well but not as well when combined with the foundation. It makes my skin matte and this is the best product to be carried in the bag for touch up. It leaves my skin smooth even after the foundation.
Here are the swatches and i hope they are clear as a bell. On the top left to the bottom right, it is The Porefessional, Hello Flawless Oxgen Wow Liquid Foundation and Hello Flawless Cover Up Powder.
All of these three products have a great blending ability and being so easily absorb into the skin. They blend with the skin tone perfectly well and has a build-able characteristic.
Here are my pictures, they are not edited! so you can see the real skin and the real effect after using these three products. As you can see i have scars on my skin, yes acnes and redness are still there but better! There is a close up on my pores, i pick my nose and surrounding because it is the most oiliest part of the face and i thought it is the best place to show it to you guys. As you can see that the pores are slightly invisible after the application of the porefessional (primer).
Then you can see the very 1st layer of the foundation, it is light but it covers the redness and acnes and even out my skintone. Once i have applied the 2nd layer, everything comes together. It add another high coverage yet with a lightweight feeling on the skin. It finishes off naturally with a slight healthy glow. Then of course the powder to mattify the whole look.
I hope you enjoy this quick review of my main three items to have for a perfect flawless complexion! I love these products because they are lightweight, natural, easy to apply and blend into the skin quickly, build-able coverage and of course, hides all my imperfection away!
I do suggest to splurge on these products if you have oily skin like me after-all a good base and flawless complexion is the start for a perfect well put together makeup look ;)
