" Putih itu SHINZU'I" i am sure you are all familiar with this slogan. SHINZU'I is a Japanese image brand that was released in 2002 as the skin lightening soap with Herbal Matsu Oil. They target is lightening and whitening the skin. They have undergo a few of tests and have proven the change in a dull into a glowing skin. Within 3 years, SHINZU'I has made the impact as the top of mind for the whitening soap. They are the Pioneer brand in the market for the whitening range soap. SHINZU'I next innovation is to release cosmetics such as two way cake.
I was invited to #SHINZUIGATHERING at Senayan City and here I learned a lot. The event started with the explanation of the skin, makeup and what makes SHINZU'I different from another brand. Did you know that their main concept or theme is skin whitening? So let me share with you a tiny knowledge upon our skin.
Our skin epidermis will be removed when scrub and renew with the new cell from underneath. We live in Indonesia, a tropical country where it has the effect on the skin to have pigments in a brown-ish color and not easy to remove. To get a white skin is everyone's dream here and it not a secret anymore that there are illegal and dangerous skincare are being sold in the market. Make sure the product you pick have a clear production, BPOM and natural ingredients.
There are a lot of questions asking are whitening products save? well here how to differentiate the save product and the dangerous products. Ingredients that are dangerous for skin are Mercury and Hydroquinone. They can caused skin cancer in a long term usage and once they are absorb into the body, it will affect the internal organs. As for the outer effect on the skin, ingredients like this will have a reaction to the skin like redness, itchiness and irritation.
Skin lightening process consists of to slow down the melanin in order to prevent the production of the pigments and melanin produced by the enzyme Tyrosinase that reacts once hit the UV light.
In the event, they explained the main ingredients of SHINZU'I facial wash. They are Herba Matsu Oil and Sakura extract. Now what is Herba Matsu Oil?
This oil helps to release leuko melanin, a clear melanin without affect the other enzymes or melanin. This ingredients protects the skin from the UV light. Another active ingredients is the extract from Matsutake mushroom where the olden days, girls used to use the mushroom as a powder. The mushroom are consumed at a very high class events and they are eaten as anti cancer and anti aging. This ingredients protects the skin from the sunlight and to moisturize and provide a good nutrients for a healthy skin. The main job for this ingredients is to whiten the skin.
This ingredients in SHINZU'I is very safe. They are natural whitening agent, undergo a variety of tests, contains protection against UV Light and brighten the dull skin. Aside from the Herba Matsu Oil, Sakura extract are also added to help with the skin regeneration to make it more subtle and bright. Also as an anti aging.
I received three facial wash and they are: Skin lightening facial wash, Anti acne facial wash and Exfoliating scrub facial wash. They attack and fix different skin condition. The Skin lightening facial wash contains witch hazel to minimize the pores and cotton extract moisturizer to keep the skin moist and subtle so it doesnt look dull. The Anti acne facial wash helps to cleanse the excess oil and to prevent acne on the skin, aside from the Herba Matsu Oil and Sakura Extract, this range contains Kihada extract to prevent acne and make the skin soft and Sugar Beet extract to control the oil reproduction on the skin. Lastly, the Exfoliant scrub facial wash to remove dead skin cell so the new one can be regenerate. They contain Herba Matsu Oil and Sakura extract but they also contains Okinawa seasalt, as the natural scrub and Artichoke to reduce the pores.
Above are the swatches. I realized the scrub is pretty soft yet thick so you need to be patient to do the scrubbing and cleansing. I personally think the scent is pretty strong for a face care. I tried it and so far it doesnt irritate my skin but i dont know for the long term. Here is a tip for you, since the texture is pretty thick, before you apply it onto your skin, make it foamy on the palm of your hand first then applied it to the skin. I realized the scrub is very subtle and it doesnt hurt when i tried them.
As for the packaging, i think the Skin Lightening and Anti acne facial wash have a very smart packaging. It protects the product so that it wont pour out. The lock is very tight so you dont have to worry about the product being spilled out. The exfolianting scrub facial wash also has another unique packaging. All of the facial wash packaging are designed so well and tight to prevent the product from leaking.
