Happy New Year and yass gurl! this is my very first post for 2016. Sorry for being MIA but i am back! Now, i want to do a proper review and what i think on Purbasari Matte Lipstick. Based on my research, everyone was raving about this! The first Indonesian Local Beauty brand that released matte lipstick that are high in demand in the market. Amazing isnt it?
I didnt want to do a review as others have had written them but i guess curiosity kills the cat isnt it? well not literally but i was curious enough to go and purchase them! As you may know, Purbasari is not a brand that is familiar to everyone's ear until their matte lipstick are booming. This lipstick comes in a box with their shade number. As for the product itself, it is in a slim rectangular shape with black and gold. Pretty fancy for a local brand. It is lightweight but honestly, due to its weight being so light, i feel the product is slightly wobbly when applied to the lips but it is alright, i guess the quality matters right?
The first thing that i realized once researching and purchasing online is the color swatches dont match. It disappointed me and that is why I decided to do this review, i am going to attempt and try to show you the color swatches as close as possible however, i wont be able to do all colors :)
Alrighty, here are the swatch from top - bottom #83 #84 #89. For some reason, i dont think they have that perfect nude or a softer shade. If you really love a bold colored collection, you might like them as they are also affordable (price range from IDR 25-30K depending where you purchase them).
I realized that on the very first new application, it is dry like it has a coat of protection but after a few swipe, the color comes out amazingly pigmented and vibrant. It sits nicely on my lips, it spread out evenly and it last long. I think i really love how the colors are pigmented for a local brand and how it spreads out and sits evenly on my lips. Some matte products goes onto the cracks of my dry lips and this doesnt. This is like covering and making the cracks all "glued" together giving a smooth and silky look on my lips.
I guess the quality and the price make this product high in demand as you can see the colors are amazingly pigmented, long lasting and smoothen the lips. Price is also wallet friendly. However, i wish they come in a nude-ist or softer shade and to have a more corrected swatches. Will I purchased it again? I would if they come in a more nude-ist or soft colors instead of bold colors.
