When it comes to perfumes and scents, you all know i am VERY picky. I love a very feminine and floral aroma because I think that reflects my personality. Yeah i may not look amazingly beautiful or girly but deep down i am a girly girl *believe it or not*. Flower by Kenzo is one of my favorite perfume (aside from YSL Parisienne). I used to wear this scent every single day back in my uni life.
Flower by Kenzo was launched back in 2000 and it is inspired by a flower called poppy. So of course, the smell reflects the inspiration. Something feminine, something floral and something lively. This range is a new innovation and development from the previous one. The packaging of this product is similar but the new range comes in a tall, column-shape with a slight curve bottle in a reddish-brown packaging. With a gold printed of the flower and the name, it gives that sleek, exquisite and chic minimalist design.
What is the difference between Flower by Kenzo and Flower by Kenzo L'elixir? This range here is warmer. A sweet, floral, feminine yet strong and independent describe this range. I just love the warmth it gives when I smell it. This range actually inspired from a lady name Jan Rose Kamir whom took part in a protest against Vietnam War back in the 1967 where she offered a flower to soldiers. This perfume reflects and describe an independent woman. A woman who is strong and fights for the world yet still in touch with her femininity.
This perfume's scent contains bold Bulgarian rose, raspberry, mandarin, orange blossom absolute, bourbon vanilla absolute and praline accord. Truthfully, I prefer this scent more than the previous range just because it adds the twist in the smell. That warm smell describe perfectly well about today's modern women who are feminine yet independent.
Now i know that this is not everyone's favorite scent but this surely is mine!
