FINALLY! i got my hands on these lip colors from Revlon. I have seen, heard and watched the review but now, it is my turn to tell you my very honest opinion. Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color, a matte liquid lipstick from revlon that comes in various colors in Jakarta for only RP 110.000 ( i bought this with my own money a.k.a i am not being sponsored)
The very first thing that I really like from this range is the packaging! It is something from the shape that makes it very easy to hold on to and very comfortable. It has a rather doff glass of a packaging with the name printed in black which makes this whole packaging chic and clean. The cap comes in silver color where you only need to twist to open it. The size is roughly as big as the palm of my hand and my hands are not exactly huge.
This comes in 7 shades and i got 4 shades with me and they are HD Devotion (a more muted pink shade), HD Temptation (a brighter pink shade), HD Seduction (the most nude shade among the range, perfect for smokey look) and HD Passion (a dark red with blue undertone).
However, I really dislike the scent. It has this sweet scent that is not my favorite, if i can describe it, i would describe it like a vanilla cupcake. The formula is amazing! I personally love liquid lipstick (matte) that is not matte where it settles into the line on your lips. It feels lightweight though on the lips and the texture is soft and buttery. This range has a slight shine (moisture) after applying it. It is very pigmented and moisturizing. It glides easily and with the wand and the tip of the applicator, it makes it easier to shape and spread on the lips. I did not have any difficulty in applying except for the scent.
One thing i realized, it doesnt really settled into matte quickly but i am fine with that though. As i said, i prefer matter lipstick with a slight "gloss". I realized that these products leave a color stain, like lip tint and i am not a big fan of color stain actually. I also realized the lighter color is somewhat streaky, therefore i did apply a tiny bit of the second layer but everything is just amazing for the price i paid.
Overall, i am satisfy and pleased with these range and i am glad i purchased all 4 of them :) i can use them for my clients now! I love how it has a high pigmentation of color, the soft buttery texture that glides and spread easily on the lips, the shape that is easy to hold BUT i dont like the scent. It is too sweet for my liking. I would compare this to Too Faced Melted range and Too Faced Melted are amazing but it has a slightly higher price compare to the Revlon ones, so if you are looking for an alternative options, i do recommend this one!
