Let's enjoy our summer together with Benefit Cosmetic Hoola Zero Tan Lines and Dew The Hoola bronzer! They are the latest product from Benefit Cosmetics after their success with Hoola bronzer. These two new products are liquid bronzer for your face and body.
I love getting my skin tanned back in my high school year. I always think tanned skin look healthy and exotic. Therefore, i am very familiar with and how to get tanned skin. My skin is naturally fair, which some people might think it is lucky, but the down side with my fair skin is, it is very hard for me to get tanned or bronzed. I usually get burned, red, then back to fair.
I am very excited when Benefit Cosmetic launched these two babies. Dew The Hoola is a liquid bronzer for your face. It comes in a shiny, sexy and sleek looking box. It comes with a pump which i always love because it is hygienic and you can control the amount of the product. It is 30ml which is a lot of a bronzer. All you need is a tiny bit of the bronzer, like a pea size, or one pump. I realized that this product is very lightweight, it spread easily but you do need to be able to blend it into your skin quite quickly. When it comes to the pigmentation of this bronzer, i must say it is low to middle. As you as you blend it into your skin, you can barely see the color *in my case* so i had to add a few more layers to get that healthy bronze onto my skin.
I tried to use this with a brush, but i didnt like it. I apply this once my face is set with a foundation and powder, I added this on top of it so that it the foundation wont move when i tried to blend it with my finger. You can use a sponge but i personally dont really like using sponge as it absorbs product a lot which is wasteful. I used my finger. It was not that easy as i thought it would be but with a little bit of patience, everything blended well.
The best thing I love about this face bronzer is, it gives a very natural tan onto my skin and doesnt leave any harsh line. There is something about the color of this product that matches well with my skin. I think if my skin is easily tanned, this will be the color.
Below are the picture of the product, before and after it is blended. The two pictures below are the picture of me before and after the bronzer. You can barely see the bronzer because it is that natural and matches well with my skin tone!
Next it is the Hoola Zero Tan Lines, this is a bronzer for your body hence the packaging and the volume is bigger compare to Dew The Hoola. It comes in a tube with a sponge on top of the lid. Very practical! As you can see from their packaging design, it is very summery, sexy and fun!
If you are wondering, isnt this the same as self tanner? Nope it is not. This bronzer is the quick and instant way to get your body tanned with healthy glow while self tanner *the ones i have tried need to leave it on and wash it away to get a result*. This product will come off once you take a shower.
The texture of this product is a gel like. A dark brown transparent gel like. The texture is lightweight, it is not sticky and it is build-able. The reason why I said this is because, i must admit that the color pigmentation is low in this product, I tried applying it once but i can barely see the changes therefore i did apply a few more layers to get that slight different in colors on my skin. With the applicator, it is pretty quick and easy to be applied on but the down side is, you need to quickly blend the product into your skin without stopping for a few seconds as it will leave some "stain" onto the skin. It feels wet at first but once it is blended into the skin, it doesnt feel anything.
I personally think these two products will look good and the color will appear very well on a medium skintone. I will try it onto my sister and persuade her to get her picture taken. Hopefully soon!
So in conclusion, I love the Dew The Hoola because it is lightweight, it blends easily and feels like a feather onto the skin. I love the color payoff as it looks super natural on me just like when the sun kissed my skin. As for the Hoola Zero Tan Lines, it is useful when you want to have an instant tan or glow. I am not sure how many times you can use this product for a whole body but I love the color payoff as it looks very natural on my skin.
