Look what we have here! another lip cream from one of Indonesian local brand. Pixy Lip Cream cost around RP 45.000/each. There are 6 shades and the two shades i will be review are: chic rose and classic red. It claims to last long, matte, soft texture and lightweight on the lips.
This lip cream comes in a box packaging, well i kinda threw it away but nevertheless, as you can see the casing of the product is pretty simple and straightforward with a pink twisted cap and black tube. I dont have much to say upon the packaging design as it is simple, easy to use and it has a tiny space to show its color. The applicator is in an oval shape where it is thicker at the wand and thinner towards the end where it makes the application and shaping of the lips easier.
I realized this product has a tiny scent of vanilla sweet? i am the worse when it comes to scent but i am fine with it. Nothing too strong. When it comes to the pigmentation, it is a medium good pigmentation. To get the look like in this picture, the key is to: put a slightly more product on the lips and spread it evenly. Do not layer them up! I never really like layering matte lip cream even when they have settled onto the lips. At first, it looks sheer but when it settles onto the lips, it looks amazing! The application is pretty easy, you do need to even it out and spread it a few times (while it is not settle into the lips yet, quickly spread it out) but it was easy and settles into the lips nicely. The texture is just perfect. It is not too watery nor too solid. It is in a thick mousse consistency.
The key to use lip cream is to have your lips moisturize so do apply a tiny bit of lip balm before applying this otherwise, it wont look as good as you hope it would. I used vaseline before applying the product in this picture.
I also realized the staying power of this product is amazing! it last long and un-transferable compare to the rest of lip creams in here (not to forget more pricey too). It feels lightweight and not drying. It also doesnt leave any sticky residue.
I do recommend this product if you want to try them. The price is affordable and with the quality, i'd say it is worth it. It is long lasting, the color pigmentation is amazing. It is lightweight, doesnt transfer (depend on what you eat), spread and blends easily, settles into the lips quickly. Once it is dry, you get that sexy shape lips. Unfortunately, they dont have a lot of shades to choose from.
