Happy New Year 2017 my sugar pops! Lets begin this year by comparing two foundations from Bourjois. Bourjois City Radiance VS Bourjois Air Mat. Bourjois City Radiance gives a glowy dewy effect while Bourjois Air Mat gives a matte results. Each cost around IDR 250.000 - 300.000, again i am very bad with numbers.
When it comes to the packaging, they are both in tubes. I love this type of packaging, all i need is to squeeze it out. It has a tiny weeny peeping hole and it controls the amount of foundation *so it doesnt go to waste* They are both differentiate based on colors, Air Mat is in a beige skin tone color whilst the City Radiance is in pink. On each tube, there are informations about the product. Bourjois Air Mat is lightweight, hold on up until 24 hours and smooth finish result while Bourjois City Radiance has a brightening effect with SPF30 to protect the skin.
Now onto the good parts, Bourjois Air Mat does give a very lightweight feeling on the skin. It feels like a second skin to me. However, i noticed the scent is a tiny bit too strong for my liking. This range comes in a few shades but i cant remember how many there are, the Air Mat range are leaning towards a warm yellow undertone perfect for Indonesian women. It blends easily leaving NO streaky lines and it settles onto the skin quickly. It actually turned a light matte soft powdery result once it settles onto the skin. It has a high coverage where it blurred out the fine lines and imperfections on the skin. It is also build-able yet not cake-y and thick. This is the perfect foundation for oily skin but, it doesnt stay matte 24 hours. It sits still for a very long time, no cracks, no slides off but when it comes to staying matte for 24 hours, it doesnt.
Bourjois City Radiance has an AMAZING scent! That is the first thing i realized and the undertone is slightly lighter compare to the Air Mat range. The texture is a wee bit thicker compare to the Air Mat and once this foundation settled onto your skin, you can see the glow. It has a good coverage and covers most of the imperfections. However, i realized the City Radiance is slightly harder to blend and spread compare to Air Mat. With City Radiance you do need to do a good blending on the skin. However this product helps to brighten the skin from fatigue and dull ness. I think this works if you have normal-dry skin, when i tried it out on my oily skin, i did need to blot more than when i wore the Air Mat but the good thing, it sits still even though i was already oily.
In my opinion, both of these products work amazingly well on me but i am leaning towards the Air Mat because it suits my skin more. It stays perfectly still on my skin even when it was already oily. It has a good oil control but not 24 hours. Both products have an amazing coverage, blending ability and settle into the skin finely. It covers the imperfections and blurred any fine lines. If you love a good glow on the skin, you can go for the City Radiance but keep in mind if you have an oily skin, you do need to blot more often compare when you wear Air Mat.
