Jakarta 23rd February 2017, Bioderma as the top three dermo cosmetic brand in France has finally launched its Hydrabio Serum, the solution for dehydrated skin. A dehydrated skin is a temporary skin condition where the skin lacks of water.
Any skin types are prone to dehydration due to a lot of internal and external factors such as pollution, humidity, exposure to the AC, aggressive cleansing and unsuitable cosmetics products. Internal factors are stress, diet intakes and age. A dehydrated skin tends to look dull, feels more sensitive and uncomfortable.
Hydration occurs in 3 levels: The strength of the skin's layer where it includes the strength of the cement which bonds the corneal cells together and the quality of the intercoryneocyte lipids to limit Trans Epidermal Water Loss (TEWL). The existence of NMFs (Natural Moisturizing Factors) contained in the cells that acts as a water magnet and binds water. The existence of Aquaporins that enable the circulation and distribution of the water from the dermis.
In dehydrated skin, all of these mechanism above are altered to lose its strength therefore Bioderma created a solution for dehydrated and sensitive skin. It is developed by Laboratoire Bioderma, the Aquagenium TM Patent of the Hydrabio range that is available in Hydrabio serum teaches the skin to regenerate its own hydration process and restores the skin optimal function.
Aquagenium TM Patent contains Vitamin pp to enhance the skin resistance and its impermeability by consolidating the intercoryneocyte cement and boosting NMFs activity. Apple seed extracts that stimulates the production of Aquaporins.
Alright so I did to use Bioderma Hydrabio Serum because I think having a good moisture and water level in your skin is important to prevent aging. Bioderma Hydrabio Serum is a light weight hydration booster that works best for dry and sensitive skin. It contains a high concentration of glycerin for an immediate and intensive hydration. Now, to me, it makes the skin more ' bouncy ' but i think people with dry dehydrated and sensitive skin will feel the immediate effect more than me. The texture is gel-ish and it absorbs into the skin easily, leaving no sticky residue.
I think it helps to keep the "flaky" skin away, makes the skin more plump and prepare it for the day activities or before makeup.
I do recommend this product for all skin types actually but more to dehydrated and sensitive skin. I used them from time to time depending on my skin condition. You can get them at Guardian, Watsons, Century, AEON and Sociolla.com at IDR 330.000/ 40ml
